I'm on Reddit but mostly just a lurker, in specific areas. Today's average forumite seems to be limited to less than 100 characters per post.
I just get the impression that it's not my sort of atmosphere. Reddit seems like a place with multiple mini communities (subreddits) that are either too strict or too chaotic. I dunno, are there any non-crappy alternatives to Reddit?
Facebook is my least favorite website in the world. So I'll pass on that one!
And, yeah, the character-limit thing is bothersome. After all, if a post is long enough that one does not wish to read it then one always has the option to not read it. But if one's post size is limited then one doesn't have the option to read a longer post no matter how much one wishes to.
