Here's a fact.
My great granfather on my father's side fought with the NZ Army through Greece, Crete, North Africa and didn't get a scratch (though he lost over 60% of his unit in Crete - Army Engineers).
His five brothers also served and not one of them was injured which is quite amazing considering the NZ casualties.
