Though I know the purists don't agree, I liked LOTR. It had been some time since I had read the books so I didn't catch the shifting of characters and storylines like those who know the books inside and out. There were parts I thought went on too long and I sometimes felt like it was just a reason to get three films of it. I rewatch all three now and then.

Now "The Hobbit" movies were a huge disappointment.
