And? What does that have to do with anything. There you go again, focusing on one event, one person, and projecting the same old "one size fits all".
Did you help him aim the firearm physically? If not did you give him verbal commands to help him direct the firearm? Or was it he wasn't totally blind, just legally blind as in he couldn't drive a car?There is a huge difference between being medically blind, and legally blind. Legally blind doesn't mean 100% of your sight is gone.
In any case giving your example does not change the fact that America is #1 of western first world nations in firearm injuries and deaths.
John, my friend from Oklahoma is legally blind and owns a shotgun. But unlike you, he agrees with me that we have a firearm injury/death epidemic and he agrees with better vetting, better regulations and isn't paranoid about tyranny when people suggest we have gun safety laws.
