Well, that’s a different topic. Him trying to illegally stop the vote count isn’t the same as him ‘clinging on’ (it also won’t work).
It seems as if you’re saying the election should be called for Biden before all the votes are counted, while Trump is saying the election should be called for him before all the votes are counted. How is that different?

No he isn't "legally" doing anything a Constitutional law professor would take seriously. Just because he can, doesn't mean the court will agree with him.
Just look at is history of lawsuits he has filed that have been thrown out.
He spent basically months selling the false claim that elections are called on that day. He literally lied about how the process works, selling his base the idea that media calls are the same as legal certification. He was hoping his bluff would work and America would fold to that bluff.
Now the asshole hypocrite is relying on real process, all be it in desperation.
