We need someone with public school teaching experience as Secretary of Education. Thankfully, I think that's a hard rule for Biden for the position of SecEd, given his wife is a teacher herself.NdT is not an educator in the traditional sense - but the man has taught more Americans about astrophysics than any college professor you can name. I'd like to see Andrew Yang as Secretary of Labor.
Inspiration is all well and good, but the function of a cabinet secretary is to manage their department. I’m not sure Tyson has the requisite managerial experience. Being a pop culture icon doesn’t quite fill the bill.
A better candidate would be someone who has spent several years managing a large school district.
