68 year old me has a peripheral knowledge of TikTok. That's where it will remain, along with 2nd life, and some other platforms that I don't even know the names of...because I'm 68 and give not a pinch of feces about a lot of social platforms. I did join FB recently to connect with some people in my high school graduating class, but they obviously care about reconnecting as much as I used to, since there are about 40 people who are so interested. I've friended ONE person so far. We were pretty tight in high school and after. One other person I sent a friend request to found Jesus not long after we graduated HS, and we'll probably not reconnect, because he knew my opinion even then.

Good. The ageing 'social' media platforms, like Facebook and Twitter (it is one, despite all those nice concise topical messages), are attempting to cling unto their userbase like a crazy bitch with no self-worth on her trophy husband, and they're already doing some of their 'influencer' shit themselves. If they keep it up, I'm just gonna delete my accounts and go to the new 'hip' place, myself, and they are testing my patience.

If you're on facebook make sure to properly delete your account, don't just deactivate it. They've teacker cookies everywhere and will keep following you even if you deactivate your account.

I did a number on my facebook the first minute I heard about what they were doing with Cambridge Analytica in 2015.
