It's some strange event (sun and moon being joined together) that's supposed to happen on Judgement Day.
Yes; It's doesn't seem about an eclipse because verse 8 already spoke about an eclipse; while verse 9 spoke about the different event of the moon and the sun getting joined together.
Scientifically. this scenario is well known and expected to happen when the sun turns into a Red Giant phase:

Scientists are not sure yet whether the sun will swallow the moon or not; but the possibility still exists for the scenario where the sun swallows the moon or like the Quran said "(9) and the sun and the moon are brought together".

I was worried that we might get stuck with muslims on alpha centauri. Don't even know why I'd go through the trouble of making the trip if the place is filthy with the same sort of nuts as back home. Glad that's cleared up.
It actually said this literally:
Quote:Sura 3, The Quran:

( 85 ) And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.

Go fuck yourselves.
I don't know who lied to you and told you can't understand the Quran; there are so many websites that provide various translations in many languages, the best are:
quran.com
quran.ksu.edu.sa
Every verse is translated.
Please note that Muslims are more than 1.8 billion people from allover the world, and most are not even Arabs.
Just like I learned English, you can read the Quran.
Just like a Turk reads the Quran and understand it; so do you. Especially if it's already translated verse by verse in your native language.
But ignore any Hadith because these things are Arab myths; not Islamic facts.
