Fine with me, as long as they get them. But again, why would someone use the original plate if they were going to do that? I hope they were dumb enough to use the real plate. It will make it far easier.
The usual method for using stolen plates is to put yours on the vehicle you’re stealing the plate from. While this does give you some extra time before a stolen number plate is reported, it’s still pretty easy for the cops to trace a vehicle with stolen plates. When they run the stolen plate, they know which vehicle it was stolen from, and they go get THAT plate and run it.
