For a marketing scheme to have the effect on the market that we see ( better than double rifle sales) you would have saturation advertising.

I don' t get any emails from gun and ammo manufacturers. I don' t see any on TV. I don' t get robocalls on the phone.
Reason? They don' t NEED to advertise. They can' t keep up with demand. Advertising would be a waste of money.

No it is not. THE NRA for 40 years has scared the shit out of gun owners by shouting, "They're coming for your guns" and they get paid lots of money by the industry to sell that fear. Now, you cant use the term "panic buying" YOUR WORDS, if that fear marketing didn't work.
