Yup, broilerplate right-wing rhetoric, and not one, but two iconic badasses whose character arcs are dripping with the sort of tragedy that undermines the sort of macho posturing they're promoting and reveals them to be deeply broken men.

Walt may be badass, but his experiences, well, to quote the man himself:

The only thing he does that actually does anything with regards to the gang situation? Letting them kill him. Because the cops suddenly start giving a a shit when they kill a white man.
