RE: Alternative plots/endings to period piece movies.

Ok, this topic is a bit overdue, but it's in the humor section where the conversation is loose.
When they were making the Prince of Persia movie why didn't they start with the first game and start with him in the dungeon from which he has to escape from? Maybe it didn't have to be the whole movie but it would be a humble beginning. They obviously started too big and too cocky and too much of everything that it just got convoluted.
And also they should have cast some eastern actor to play him, and not Billy Crystal's son from "City Slickers". Kumail Nanjiani would be million times better for the role.
