9% in the US trust mass media a great deal and 31 % a fair amount. Surely you're not going to argue that the other 69 % of Americans are raving mad white supremacists.

Wait, that's 60%, not 69%.

And, no, I think they're being misled, like Sung. And, of course, a lot of people are just plain stupid. Hell, take Drich, uncritically parroting anything Trump or whatever right-wing media source he consumes says is true, and frequently fails at, among other things, math I would have known before I hit ten. While there are a couple points where I can remember him saying racist shit, he seems to be doing it out of sheer ignorance, and not really any sort of white supremacist racial animus. He's even biracial, even though, sometimes, the sheer idiocy of his claims makes me wonder if his parents were... a bit more closely related than a white guy and a Korean woman.

I think that in cases like this, Heinlein's Razor should apply: "You have attributed conditions to villainy that simply result from stupidity."

As for percent of people who are out and out white supremacists, at this point, I'd ballpark that at about 10% if this poll is any indication.
