Now.....
Since WHEN is the President ELECT the head of the government? Never? Not till he is sworn in?
...
WHO was the President during this "period of insurrection"?
This is no small point. And it' s not a " functional gallows".
President Trump cannot be charged with insurrection - unless you are charging that he conspired to have himself overthrown - AS HE WAS THE HEAD OF THE.GOVERNMENT AT THAT TIME.
Did he incite a riot? Arguably so. Is he a monumental asshat? Again - that' s an easy arguement to make. Did he attempt to nullify a legal election? Sure looks like it.
But - you are an idiot trying to redefine crimes by saying it was insurrection..
Yeah I got some news for ya OLB ... the US doesn't have a king.
Nitpicking, and bullshit. Nope and totally false. He actively and purposefully attempted to interfere and stop the peaceful transfer of power, from himself to Biden. He attempted to retain the powers he was elected to perform, but was about to loose. It was an insurrection. An insurrection is : "a violent uprising against an authority or government". In the US, there are 3 INDEPENDENT CO-EQUAL branches of government. Not one. Where does it say in the constitution he's the "head of government" ? Trump incited an insurrection against the legislative branch, an established IN-POWER authority, (and the people of the US they represent) , which was interrupted by the insurrection, in carrying out it's duties under the constitution. He also attempted to violently usurp the authority of the PEOPLE of the US, (from which he has his power at all), who had not elected him for another term, and the authority of the Electoral College, which the 50 states had certified ... that authority. Yeah there was an insurrection all right, and your analysis is as Trumpy as it gets .... total bullshit. ... and as slimey and squeeley and dishonest as the Repulicans are, it's all gonna come out in the upcoming Commission. The longer it drags out and the closer it gets to the next election, the better. They are going down in history as traitors to the US democracy. They thought if they dragged it out, people would forget it. Turns out that was a foolish mistake. It's gonna bite them on the ass. None of the 147 who came back that night and still voted not to accept the results should ever be allowed in office again.
This BS sounds like the crap we hear all the time from one of the idiots on Fox News. It sounds good, but it's actually totally false. Do you have Fox Derangement Syndrome ? Wanna tell us where you got this crap ? It's not even a tiny itsy-bitsy point. It's totally fallacious. Try harder next time. No one is redefining anything. Trump was not "the US government". He attempted to SEIZE powers he did not *ever* have at all, in the first place. Could Trump tell congress what to do ? Could he tell the Supreme Court what to do ? Could he tell the governors what to do ? The state courts that threw out all his ridiculous law suits ? Umm .. no. If he were "the head of government" .... well you get the drift.
Every religion is true one way or another. It is true when understood metaphorically. But when it gets stuck in its own metaphors, interpreting them as facts, then you are in trouble. - Joseph Campbell
