She didn't fire him. She called for him to be fired, which implies she doesn't have the power to do so herself. The article you posted says that outright.

The difference is did he leave the job because Pelosi forced him to or did he leave of his own accord because he realised he shit the bed on January 6 and that Pelosi's call-out was incidental? I think it's possible, even likely that he could have stayed on the job after that if he decided not to. It would have been ill-advised, but I think it still could have happened.

Presumably, if true, this would also be the case for people like Baked Alaska, Simone Gold, and Rick Saccone, who were all known to be prominent far-right figures for years before this (except for Gold, who had only become prominent in the wake of COVID), and all of whom actively participated in the storming, and one of whom (Baked Alaska) actually fucking livestreamed his time storming the Capitol. And that's not even getting into far-right groups like The Proud Boys whose members were known to actively participate. And I could go on forever about why the claim that Antifa were behind the storming is utter bullshit, but I need to make some lunch, so I'll just say that the claim basically pimp-slaps willing suspension of disbelief.
