The government has an obligation to keep citizens safe, and in general the medical infrastructure from being over-whelmed.
That was a distinct possibility for a while. More US people died in the pandemic than US soldiers died in WW2 ... which makes this stupid comment particularly stupid.
The government drafted soldiers, and sent those and those who volunteered to potentially die to fight WW2, to keep the country safe.
Here, they were merely asking people to wear a mask, to keep the country safe. Was cray cray bitch being asked to die for her country ?
