Some previous groups of homo sapien had apparently reached Europe 100,000 years before the ancestors of all modern homo sapiens living outside Africa first left Africa. But it appears early emigrants from Africa went extinct before their descendants could have met ancestors of the modern Homo Sapiens in Europe or Asia.
