Helmets work if you plan on crashing at very low speeds and hit your head.
If you get hit by a vehicle such as a car or anything larger - odds are the body trauma is going to be so severe the helmet is a moot point.
Simple fact - motorcycles are dangerous as fuck in comparison to other vehicles. The ONLY way to make one really safer - is to leave it in the garage.
Anyone who argues that there is a " safer way to ride" hasn' t been hit by a pickup truck......
That’s more or less why I gave up riding. The three crashes I was involved in over 20+ years didn’t do it, it was seeing my mates get killed or injured for life.
