If you get hit by a vehicle such as a car or anything larger - odds are the body trauma is going to be so severe the helmet is a moot point. Simple fact - motorcycles are dangerous as fuck in comparison to other vehicles. The ONLY way to make one really safer - is to leave it in the garage. Anyone who argues that there is a " safer way to ride" hasn' t been hit by a pickup truck......
And every authority on the subject says your wrong

That’s more or less why I gave up riding. The three crashes I was involved in over 20+ years didn’t do it, it was seeing my mates get killed or injured for life. I had three majors too over 35 years of riding. Hit by a Volvo wagon - centerpunching a whitetail deer and hit by a Chevy 3/4 ton.... Last one cost me 18 months in a wheelchair. Rode for 10 years after the last one and decided I heal too slow now to be able to take another hit. Put on a shitload of miles over the years - even riding in the winter on snow covered roads. Had a bunch of fun. I would never recommend anyone to ride. I have seen many die - and it' s rarely their fault. |
