Well, I didn't catch Drich's "illuminating" post, but it seems to me, it should be okay to portray rape as "business as usual."
I think it *is* business as usual in many ways... has been for centuries... and I'm outraged at this state of affairs. It should be okay to state the facts of the matter.
I'm assuming that Drich condoned, downplayed, or blamed the victims. But maybe Drich isn't the originator of the idea that such things are okay. I fault the Bible. After all, insufficient regard is afforded victims of rape in the OT. "You owe my dad silver pieces. And I may be forced to marry you." That's pretty much all it says on the matter.
PSA: Bad idea to get your moral values from the law decrees of ancient brutal nomadic tribes.
