I've already explained how Jesus' sacrifice brought about a greater good. As for what texts I've read that sound like they could've been written by Jesus, I'm not telling you.

That’s not quite what I asked you. I want to know why the discord was necessary for the greater good when that could have been accomplished without the discord.

I’ll rephrase, since you seem to have trouble grasping what I mean:

You claimed that God sometimes creates discord as a means of accomplishing a greater good. I pointed out a means whereby Jesus could have avoided the discord and achieved the same result. So - what use was the discord?
