Exd 32:10 Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.
Exd 32:11 And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?
Exd 32:12 Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.
Exd 32:13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit [it] for ever.
Exd 32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
1) God get's angry at people
2) God plans to destroy them
3) Moses reminds God of some things to change his mind
4) God does changes his mind and regrets his decision.
5) He was about to do "EVIL"
Now let's see how people wiggle out of this. It seems rather all 5 points I mentioned are true.

Call me cynical, but I have this funny feeling that any answer that attempts to explain this is going to be indistinguishable from bullshit.

Yeah apologetics is all about coating a dog turd in sugar and trying to sell it as a donut.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

What translation are you using, I use the New American Standard, it's considered by most to be the best translation.
1) Yes He did and why not.
2) this is what He said He would do.
3) Yes Moses asked God to remember His promise, as if He had forgotten which He had not.
4) God seems to change His mind, this means He turned from His thought, repent is not the best translation, turn or change are the most correct words.
5) Where does it say God said He was going to do evil, Moses is not God's judge, Moses is a servant of God.
6) Not trying to wiggle out of anything, stating what I see as the truth from a more accurate translation.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Too easy! You’re using the wrong bible…
From the Translationist’s Translational Bible (2nd Revised Translation):
Exd 32:10 Thou great nation shall not consumeth hot wax.
Exd 32:11 Moses asketh why is thou wax so almighty hot?
Exd 32:12 Therefore mischievous Egyptians should not speaketh of wrath.
Exd 32:13 Abe, Isaac, and Israel sowed seeds in the stars.
Exd 32:14 Lord! People are evil(eth).
Nowhere in any of those verses does God consider doing evil, nor does He change His almighty Mind about anything.
