A true Christian is continuously taught many good things by GOD, including to be humble like the CHRIST, not arrogant! A true Christian knows that but for the grace of GOD he/she would still be under wrath, so where does arrogance come in?
I have stated before - per the Bible, which is truth - that not everyone who claims to be a Christian is in fact so. The Lord GOD knows those who are His - 2 Timothy 2:19
----
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven." - Matthew 7:21
Could it be that (hypothetically) the vast majority of Christians are not true Christians? After all... according to what you just said, only God knows who is the true Scotsman (err- I mean, Christian.)
The reason I ask is, if it were the case (hypothetically) that your religion consisted mostly of untrue Christians, then maybe your entire religion isn't something a "true Christian" would want to be involved in.
I hear you, but this is why it is imperative to search the Scriptures because I tell you - the answers are all in there!
It is not about a religion, but rather a personal relationship with the Word, the Lord JESUS, the CHRIST and being reconciled back to GOD.
The Lord JESUS Himself says He is the Way to salvation from death (the second death), and thus people should look to Him only as revealed the Bible - and not to "doctrines of men" as contained in religions.
The Narrow Way
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." - Matthew 7:13-14
