The reason I ask is, if it were the case (hypothetically) that your religion consisted mostly of untrue Christians, then maybe your entire religion isn't something a "true Christian" would want to be involved in.
If you tell people you're a Christian, you're a Christian. In this sense, there are no "true Christians", meaning there are no Christians who are "more Christian" than any other Christian.
