There is no need to debunk or disprove something for which there no demonstrable, falsifiable, and verifiable evidence, nor any valid and sound logic, to support the claim.
You are passing the burden of proof. Those making the claim of karma, are the ones that need to support their claim, or there is no justification to believe it.
But just think about how messed up Karma is. Kids are starving because someone in a previous life f'd up? What kind of justice is that system?
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
