Yes, around the same time when Nick Cave was performing the obscene rant that was his version of Stagger Lee, he was working on this thoughtful meditation on how the Gospels influenced him and his writing. He may no longer believe in a personal God, but back in '96, Nick Cave did indeed identify as a Christian.
I pointed this out to a Christian and her head spun so fast you'd swear she was Linda Blair.
