Well,yes in much the same way the writer usually creates fiction,the source remains the same;the human mind.

The assertion that the exceedingly derivative Qur'an (or any other book) was written via some transcendent source is a form of argument from incredulity/lack of imagination.IE:"I can't believe a man/men, did X Y or Z,therefore God/aliens did it" This argument is also known as 'the God of the gaps'.
