They sure are social....Huggy, and no one is arguing otherwise - and yet, they don't appear to hold or behave as though they hold any gender concept whatsoever.
The alpha male is meaningfully different from the other males, too. Are all of the other males not boys? Get out of here with this garbage. But they DO have a concept of gender, if they had absolutely zero concept, instead of an alpha male and female pair, you'd get and alpha pair with 2 males or 2 females, because they have zero concept and can't tell the difference between the genders.
