I find it interesting that both conservatives and liberals find cautionary value in this novel and both appear to feel that the other side is directing us toward that eventual end.
I think that may have been more the case when the differences between the conservatives and liberals was tax policy. Today, I'm more concerned that the conservatives will lead us into some neo-confederate mad max bullshit...by pure bubmblefucking accident.
