I don't know, I disagree with you. I've been a part of many internet forums where you become very close to the people and it seems only logical to share parts of your life with them. It isn't that you are looking for a pity party it's that you want to know somebody feels the same way you do. Not everyone has a real life support system, sometimes they just need to talk to another person about it. Just because you wouldn't tell your personal problems on an internet forums, doesn't make the person who does it stupid.

I can follow that. So fine, use a PM and share those parts of your life with them. Or send them an email. If you post your tales of woe on a public forum, it's, IMO, asking for a pity-party or asking to get flamed upon.

I never said it makes one stupid did I? Nope, sure didn't. It's just my opinion the cryin' 'n whinin' in search of sympathy needs not be shared in a public forum.

Yes some may be bothered by it, but others aren't and are there to listen.

And if what OP posted is 'crying' and or self-pity according to you and Ledo then isn't it worse to whine back at the whining? Isn't it kind of hypocritical? If you don't don't care for it, think it's "whining" and it's not being specifically addressed to you, I just wonder why you don't just ignore it?

And you two have freedom of speech here too of course. So as long as it's nothing 'uncalled for', something that's against the rules, then you're free to express it here. I just thought I'd use my freedom of speech in this post in response to you both

Damned right! So using my freedom of speech I personally would not label it "uncalled for" to say "OH Jesus Christ! Cry me a river! when responding to a whine post.

Well the vast amount of positive response that this post got seems to indicate that there are quite a few people here (on the internet!) who do care.

You can either ignore the post (if you really don't think this thing shouldn't go on here), respond to it with a constructive comment (as most did), or be a moron and post some idiotic comment that was designed to upset someone.

No sir! It was not designed to upset anyone. It was in response to the negative feedback poor ol' LEDO was enduring for saying what I was thinking. I ignored the whining and was reading along and just could not bear to watch LEDO get raked over the coals any longer for speaking his mind.
