Not true. A lot of non-religious people have intimate monogamous relationships whereby they expect their partner to trust them fully out of love even if their partner has given them reason to distrust them recently.

I agree that religion is a large part of human irrationality and gullibility. But tribalism is an even larger part. Before there were religions there were groups of irrational idiots and group think. And tradition and cults can form silly rituals and superstitions even if they're not technically religions.

Religion is only part of the problem. But, true, it is the biggest part.

Ultimately, the problem is irrationality. Even true love ought to be rational if it is to be safe and wise as well as simply blind fun pretending to be true love.
