Wow. I honestly did not consider my statement about mask mandates would be opposed so strongly. I consider myself as well-read about mask efficacy for COVID as any layman and I do not see any compelling evidence in favor of universal public masking, particularly of children.

It would be nice if people were decent enough so that we didn't have to have things like mask mandates. There are people who cannot get vaccinated due to other health issues...you have no clue who you might run into that is dealing with cancer...nor do you now if someone has lowered immunity for other reasons. Wearing a mask is about giving a shit about other people along with protecting yourself.

But you do you - selfish looks good on you.
