Marx and Engels, in The Manifesto, never advocated the complete abolition of private property. In addition, it is pure historical calumny to say that they despised all aspects of capitalism; rather, they were opposed to the social consequences of capitalism that were present in their day but admired capitalism for its industrialness and encouragement of ingenuity and personal achievement.
