If all that fails (and or on top of that) amd just announced a top down reduction on the prices of all of it's legacy cores - so...after years of famine, you might be able to get a new(to you) next gen(then) unit on the cheap(relatively) - like in the good old days.
Bit of advice, if long term usability is an item, stop fucking around with laptops. They're once and done products, and not significantly smaller that contemporary desktop units with a split between hardware and interface. The Way is a gui on an interface device (mostly a screen) with a big liquid cooled baller piece of hardware in the closet. At point of use, and depending on your local betwork, they're identical. Something to think about.
No no no, my concern is NOT the power cord itself. My concern is the connection peg, or jack inside the laptop. I am
