In my opinion, revolts against most Islamists are expected; let's be honest: most Islamists fail to provide reasonable justification for the laws they impose, take for example:
Why should Ali sacrifice himself for Khamenei ? why would Samia wear a Hijab all her life in public so the regime of Khamenei doesn't punish her?
The above 2 questions alone can cause masses to build up anger over the years, and eventually spit in the face of the government. We read about it in the French Revolution and other places.
Warnings were issued for years to the Islamic religious entities without effect: "your way is wrong; your Hadith books are obsolete and full of holes; your religion is an ugly mutation that "looks like Islam but isn't".
And when revolts come; they get "penetrated" from foreign powers in many times. So it's deep shit. and the majority of the wrong falls on the religious turbans that believe in the Hadith.
