After pondering this for a short while, I have to offend many members here by telling you that American's in general are selfish, ignorant and immensely gullible, proof of this is the 2004 Bush re-election. Newt Gingrich would be laughed at in every country in Europe except Italy, as would all the Republican nominee's with the probable exception of John Huntsman, who'd just be laughed at for being a Mormon. I think the whole world has a nervous laugh when it comes to the US Presidential elections.

Don't take it personally American pals, but your country is filled with nutters.

I dont think its americans in general, but the resonable ones do seem to be out numbered by the batshit crazies.

Just a quick correction to one of the videos. The guy (not Cenk) in the video about drugs said the Australian national was carrying 0.4 grams of heroin and that it was "clearly to use and give to their friends". They were in fact carrying 396.2 grams of heroin [1] and they were carrying it (by their own admission) to pay off debts. Cenk corrected this slightly later when he said it was 0.4 killograms, but he didn't correct the bit about this being a case of actual drug trafficking, as opposed to it being for personal use.

That said, it was still an appalling sentence, and another reminder of why the war on drugs continues to fail.

It wasnt so much the drug, or the amount, but it was the penalty that this video was about.

Drugs do not deserve the death penalty.
