Quote:People, I don't think that you should take the so called history if Muhammad to be true because of the reasons that I have given.
What on earth gives you the impression I care what you think?
I don' know you and you come across as a person who tries, but who has not yet fully mastered critical thinking; Eg you accept the Qur'an which is almost certainly fantasy, yet reject the Hadith which are more likely to be true. PLUS Many millions of Muslims accept and revere the Hadith, although they do not consider them as inspired like the Qur'an. Many Muslims consider THEIR Hadith as crucial to their faith.
ME? I disbelieve both the Qur'an and Hadith due to lack of credible evidence.Consequently, I have no interest in which parts of Islamic mythology you accept as your personal superstitions.
Wa salaam
Quote:The term Hadīth ( /ˈhædɪθ/[1] or /hɑːˈdiːθ/[2]) (plural: hadith, hadiths, or ahadith) is used to denote a saying or an act or tacit approval or criticism ascribed either validly or invalidly to the Islamic prophet Muhammad.[3]
Hadith are regarded by traditional Islamic schools of jurisprudence as important tools for understanding the Quran and in matters of jurisprudence.[4] Hadith were evaluated and gathered into large collections during the 8th and 9th centuries. These works are referred to in matters of Islamic law and history to this day. The two main denominations of Islam, Shiʻism and Sunnism, have different sets of Hadith collections.
