But the books which you prefer -- the ones you refer to ad nauseam -- were written by a conservative Catholic who said that the purpose of life is "to increase according to our capacity our knowledge of God by all the means we have, and to be moved by it to praise and thanks." He took the Bible seriously.
So it appears that the books you talk about all the time were written by a man you judge to be unreasonable, intellectually dishonest, and unintelligent.
I seriously doubt there were any Catholics, conservative or otherwise, running around prior to the early Second Century C.E. It is also a fact that the authors of the various books of the Bible (OT and NT) are unknown. I suggest you do some reading on the history of the Bible before making such silly claims. I stand by what I have written.
