I agree. When I was attending church, they often talked about politics and many times said that if you believe in god, you vote Republican. Period. No debate. Even if Mickey fucking Mouse was the Republican choice, he should be picked over the Democrat running for office. So, basically, many church goers will vote for the Republican candidate to stay true to their church. Again, the sheep follow blindly like they do on every topic.
