Christians honestly believe that the problems in the U.S. (and the world for that matter) are related to the secularization of this country. We have turned away from god and, as the Bible states many times, when the people turn away from god, god will turn away from them. It's in the Bible therefore it's true. No need to look anywhere else for any other cause. This is what is preached in many many churches across the countries. It is the central theme in many prayer rallies. It is the reason why they try so hard to get fundie Christians in political office.

*sarcasm on* You just don't know the system. To get Jesus to pay your bills you need to give the church money. After you have given the church lots of money over a period of time Jesus will reward you 10, 50, yea even 100 fold the amount of money you put in. You just gotta have faith. *sarcasm off*
