Not the same thing. The evidence that cars exist is overwhelming: everybody has seen one, and almost everybody has used one.
Precisely the same thing. The evidence that iPhones exist is overwhelming. In fact, there are very nearly as many iPhones in the world as there are cars.
But you (deliberately, I think) miss the point. The fact that I decline to let someone else use an item is not evidence that the item does not exist.
