iPad, iMac, etc. It's what lets you know an electronic device is an Apple product.
I am not saying the name "iPhone" is ironic. I am saying that making an iPhone is a huge engineering challenge. Think of all of the software it has to run. The Darwin kernel its operating system is based on is open source, but almost nothing else on iOS is. That means hundreds of thousands of lines of code had to be written by a single company. And that's not even considering the hardware.
Actually, iOS uses about 12-15 million lines of code, which is really not a lot. High-end cars (Mercedes, BMW, Tesla) use up to 100 million lines, while Google comes in at around 2 billion.
