People who refuse to update their software pose a security risk in the modern age of the Internet. Especially people using browsers (and webmasters using servers) which don't support the latest TLS.

While your parroting of the M$ company line has some merit, the biggest problem with security is M$ releasing software with thousands of KNOWN security vulnerabilities.

Computer security has far more to do with common sense practices than trading an old set of vulnerabilities for some new ones.

Viruses are nearly unheard of in Linux.
