For an explanation of how the fuck it takes so much more to cyanide to kill a tiny louse than a full-grown human being, you only need one word: hemoglobin. It transports oxygen through the bloodstream, but it also has the unfortunate tendency to bind to cyanide and cause hypoxia. Humans (along with all other vertebrates except for one family of fish) have it. Lice do not.
And on the question of my German history classes, I got an A both times. Once for the class covering the Weimar era and once for the class covering 1933 on.
