And that makes it better, how?
EG:
-Do you want war ? then this verse is for that scenario:
Quote:Sura 2, The Quran:
https://quran.com/2?startingVerse=190
(190) Fight in the cause of Allah ˹only˺ against those who wage war against you, but do not exceed the limits.1 Allah does not like transgressors.
(191) Kill them wherever you come upon them1 and drive them out of the places from which they have driven you out. For persecution2 is far worse than killing. And do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque unless they attack you there. If they do so, then fight them—that is the reward of the disbelievers.
- Do you want peace ? then this verse is for that scenario:
Quote:Sura 2, The Quran:
https://quran.com/2?startingVerse=190
(192) But if they cease, then surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
- You ask why Muslims attack Israeli cities ? then this verse is for that scenario:
Quote:Sura 2, The Quran:
https://quran.com/2?startingVerse=192
Kill them wherever you come upon them1 and drive them out of the places from which they have driven you out. For persecution2 is far worse than killing. And do not fight them at the Sacred Mosque unless they attack you there. If they do so, then fight them—that is the reward of the disbelievers.
I mean, they drove Muslims out first. Invaded their land from 1948, and practiced every bit of atrocity against them. Hamas is just driving them out, the same way they drove them out..except that Hamas has no air force.
Quote: Well, we can agree on that much, at least. But simply because ‘everybody does it’ does not excuse it.
Notice the verses above: killing civilians depends on the foes' killing of civilians,
Islamic war law is a mirror for the most part, I highlighted the mirroring with red text in the verses.
The enemy must begin the killing, then Muslim warriors just mirror his atrocities, so he may cease:
Quote:Sura 8, The Quran:
https://quran.com/8?startingVerse=57
(57) If you ever encounter them in battle, make a fearsome example of them, so perhaps those who would follow them may be deterred.
The goal of battle is to make the enemy "cease their atrocities", by "reflecting -mirroring- their deeds", with a limit of course, Muslims should never exceed the limit.
Quote:You have a keen grasp of the obvious. But the point you’re missing is the presence of human shields around a military target doesn’t stop it from being a military target.
In the case of Perl Harbor, it was either a severe tactical mistake or intentional to build the military dock of the US Navy near civilians to get bombed.
I can see a cunning American politician taking joy in seeing Americans burn to have his justification to enter WW2 against Japan.
