The goal of battle is to make the enemy "cease their atrocities", by "reflecting -mirroring- their deeds", with a limit of course, Muslims should never exceed the limit.

When they invade your lands, burn, loot and pillage, Muslims should do that as well. But, of course not in excess, we don't want to burn, loot and pillage too much, that would be unethical.

Same for ethnic cleansing, mass rape and genocide. Nothing to say against that, as long as the others start it, and we don't "exceed the limit"

Makes total sense......if you have bronze age ethics (hope bronze age people are not offended now).
