You lost me there. Directed at the Magic Pudding.
My wife knows some one that was raped by her brother, I agree it is more common than we think. She also knows some one who was raped in an old relationship by her partner, though this person refuses to label it as such. But the fact is he wanted it, she didn't, so it goes down as rape in my book. Unless she didn't say no. Plus it obviously affected this person enough to talk about it.
The original point I was trying to convey is often rape happens between people who know each other rather than random violent attacks and this brings me back to the marital rape thing, another thing we don't often consider.

I personally know one victim of gang rape and, unfortunately, know of many who were victims of rape when they were children by the same man. Those are only the more abhorrent rapes that I am absolutely positive happened to people very close to me. It is too common.
I really do not want to marginalize male rape, though. It happens more than it should too. This statistic should really include that and just pertain to all people.

You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.
