I don't know about others, but I do fear there is no solution as much as many around the world want. I will say that I am tired of people, including my fellow liberals saying it isn't about religion when it is. Some hide behind land, some hide behind ethnicity, some hide behind race, some hide behind culture, but the fact is all three religions have books that claim their God gave them that land.
Muslims claim Allah gave Palestine to them.
Christians claim Israel is the Kingdom of Jesus
Jews claim Yahweh gave them the land.
I will say however between the three, Islam, the Koran and Hadiths are far more political in intent of obedience and spread than the other two. In any case I don't see the religious fever breaking on any side enough to end that standoff. i think recognizing religion as the core cause would go a long way to peace and co existence. But for now, and having seen this conflict since I was a kid, and knowing this land has changed hands for centuries, and more recently since 1948, I don't see an end to it. I wish I had the answers.
