On a side note, I think that in at least the USA, it seems like we have been regressing some as a country in terms of handling discrimination, mainly because of the factors I mentioned as well as people believing corrupt politicians, and that people just can't think for themselves as much as we should. That is just my point of view, but yeah, we should do better with this than we (probably) are now.
