The Israeli army is causing over-killing and massacres on purpose.
I won't equate Hamas to the IDF because such comparison is not fair; neither mathematically nor from a humanitarian side .
Hamas could've caused higher fatalities if it bombed schools and hospitals. But it didn't. What happened to the propaganda of Israel which accused Hamas of being ISIS ?
Israel did on the other hand !
Again, the numbers don’t count. Hamas launched a terror campaign, Israel responded with war crimes. If both sides had restricted their attacks to non-civilian targets (police stations, military installations, etc), I’d likely give Hamas the moral edge, given Israel’s abominable treatment of the Palestinians.
Since they didn’t, I won’t.

The terror campaigns of Israel since 1948 piled up and led to current reaction from Palestinian citizens.
Hamas's campaign was a response to Israeli war crimes that went on for about 80 years,
I agree with you, both sides should cease their attacks on civilians immediatlty. But I should stress that pouring gas on the turmoil doesn't help; actually it increases hate, grudge and stress leading to the inclusion of civilians in the struggle.
This is an Israeli woman speaking about experience with Hamas:
So many Israelies and Jews -from Israel and around the world- don't like what their government is doing in Gaza.
